They Don't tell You

That most birth centers and hospitals provide you and baby with whatever you may need during your stay and it goes on your bill. (I haven't come across one that doesn't)

My 2 Cents

Bring only what you need the less you have to carry and have in your room the better. That's why I have included necessary, non essential, and items for your comfort for you to decide.

Positive Energy

You and baby are the focus and priority for the most part it is all about you. Focus on you and your labor journey. Pack in advance and make sure you feel good about it.

Hi, I'm Cameasha

In the past few years a lot of moms lives changed including mine. I was cast into a world of becoming more things than I already was. At the time I had a 2 year old and a new baby who had been born 2 months early. I was home alone, isolated, no support and I frankly don't know how the hell I was surviving. I WAS in survival mode.

Living day to day trying to make it in this new world of uncertainty when all of my plans were out the window. I gained a new friend named anxiety and overwhelm over took me. I remember my turning point was waking up after just closing my eyes for 5 minutes and picking up my baby, crying with him because I was exhausted. That release set me on a new path because I knew I had to make a plan for change starting with me.

I am your Mommy Strategist. The Exhale Mentor that Melanin Moms turn to when they want to reduce overwhelm and create a safe, feel-good, stress-free space. Reminding you that you are Human. If that is not enough I do have a degree in Forensic Psychology and advocate for behavior change and evolution to live the life we see for ourselves. Doing it as your absolute self.

I started Strength of A Mommy to emphasize how moms are strong mentally, physically, and emotionally but we are not always superwoman, we are human. I wanted to also support moms to focus on their Mental and Physical Fitness prioritizing their health and putting themselves first. I began my journey of being a Doula because of my pregnancy and birth experiences. They were good, bad, wonderful, and ugly. It was joyful and stressful all in one. In those moments where I felt low it would have been amazing to have support and advocacy. So breathe mommy, I understand and I am here for you.
